March 28, 2008

Hello friends,

If you have invented an original effect that is suitable for the commercial marketplace and you don’t know what to do next, contact us.

Your creation will be kept in strict confidence.

If deemed worthwhile; based on numerous standards including but not limited to, originality, performance, quality, price point and demand we’ll be happy to produce in our factory. This offer also includes books & DVDs.

From there we can discuss several options.

1. Buy the project out right from you for a price aggred upon by both parties.

2. Pay you a Royalty for each unit sold.

3. Sell the finished product to you at the right price and let you market it on your own.

So get creative and give us a call, you can make magic history and put a few buck in your pocket too!

Thanks,
Pete

Patrick G. Redford does it again!

March 26, 2008

Hello friends,

Patrick G. Redford, the American version of Luke Jermay is a great thinker & a great writer.

In just a few short years, he has already put out six self published books. His latest, Glemme arrived just a few minutes ago.

He’ s been making quite a name for himself and deservedly so. This young gun has a plethora of unique and workable material that gets huge responses.

His books have been well received by the folks who have been lucky enough to hear about him through the grapevine. I am just spreading the word.

Listed below are all of his works and all are in stock.

Consecution

Diapason

Mendacity

Prevaricator - The Ultimate Ring of Truth

Triangle

Thanks,
Pete

Dream Theater rocks out at Ronjo Magic

March 25, 2008

Hello friends,

Several members of internationally renowned rock band Dream Theater along with guitarist of Xavier stopped by for a visit today to pick up some props for their new live tour.

Dream Theater’s new album entitled Greatest Hit and 21 Other Pretty Cool Songs will be in stores April 1st.

Dream Theater is a Long Island born band who has been in it for over 25 years. If you are not familiar with their work, I highly recommend that you check them out!

Dream Theater’s keyboardist, Jordan Rudess  also created the music for Jeff Mcbride’s theater show, Mask Myth and Magic. Part of that act was featured on NBC’s World’s Greatest Magic.

Thanks for reading!

Talk to you soon,

Pete

Tom Burgoon’s - Crazy Eyes

March 22, 2008

Hello friends,

Tom Mullica did a funny bit where he removed his contact lens (a glass disc about 2″ in diameter), he cleaned it off and popped it back over his eye (with the help of a little bit of sleight of hand). You can see him do this on An Evening At The Tom-Foolery (my favorite live performance show on DVD to date). This lens bit gets a great laugh.

Aldo Colombini did a routine with Jumbo Cards of pictures with clowns and each clown had a different colored nose. A clown was selected and a real clown nose of the same color appeared on his nose.

A signed card vanishes from the deck and appears on your forehead. “I’ve got your card on my mind.”

These are comical bits & revelations that use a bit of misdirection. They get great responses because they are funny & mysterious. Think about it form the spectator’s point of view. The have seen you for a while. They know what you look like & they know from life experience what looks normal. You’ve been doing magic, no surprise there but you have been surprising and entertaining them That’s good. This is what they want.

But that one instance, where they are watching you so close and somehow this impossible facial change takes place really gets to them in a different way and they can’t control themselves any longer and bust out laughing. No reward is greater than this to the performer.

Now take away all the magic. No signed cards, no prediction clown nose, no over-sized contact lens. Add a couple of wacky eyeballs and a tag line, what have you got. Same reactions & a stranger look.

Tom Burgoon’s Crazy Eyes is all that! It was so much fun, he put out Crazy Eyes 2.

For close-up, for stage and even for the the non-magician. If you just want to add a bit of humor to whatever it is you do, Crazy Eyes is a great place to look.

Crazy Eyes are flat “doll” type eyes that have rolling pupils in them.

Crays Eyes 2 are dome shaped bulging bloodshot eyes.

Both sets are “worn” like monocles.

The original style is animated an moves and can be hidden under sunglasses for an instant reaction.  #2 are see through and that’s a plus.

Both come with one liners & ideas. And I know you will easily figure where when and how to use them on your own too! Enjoy.

Take care,

Pete

Street Cents by Andrew Gerard

March 21, 2008

Hello friends,

Just wanted to let you all know a hot new effect, Street Cents.

Actually two tricks in one & with multiple hand-lings for close-up & stage. Both effects are very powerful!

These routines are surprisingly easy, so you’ll be able to get started right away.

This is one of those, why didn’t I think of it effects. But you didn’t Andrew Gerard did.

Nice creative thinking Andrew. I hope to see more good things come from you.

Very good instructions & diagrams.

A tad bit pricey I think, but it does has great entertainment value.

Take care,

Pete
