Without a doubt Theodore Annemann has had a huge effect on the state of mentalism in the 20th century. This book is all Annemann material that has been reworked for today's psychic entertainer. The material reflects the many hages in the world since Anneman's day. Let's fae it does a miniature change bag "fit" into the modern world, especially when it is used in mentalism? I don't think so.

7 Keys… etc… etc…etc…- Talk about an effect that has generated variation after variation! There have been some pretty amazing versions of this effect over the years. Methods abound ranging from gaffed to the hilt typed to the openly brazen.
What’s A Mirror Got to Do With It? - Back in 1940 Annemann published a wonderful effect that has to be the optimum in clarity. No funny business. No strange moves. Very simply, a prediction is written, a card is named and the prediction opened to show you had correctly predicted the card.
It’s a small difference, but… - This is the main premise behind Docc Hilford’s excellent Mentalist’s Common Household Deck Set.
Paul Rosini’s False Cut - This cut is done entirely in the hands. which makes it highly desirable for stage work where cutting to a table can be a hassle. It is also very deceptive. You can stare right at the move and swear that the cards are being cut, when not one card moves in actuality.

The Haymow Shuffle - If you are using a deck that has a full cyclical stack (Si Stebbins, Eight Kings, etc.), and you give the deck a straight cut, it doesn’t disturb the stack. It just re-orients it. However, it would be really nifty if you could give the deck a shuffle and still not disturb the stack. It certainly is more convincing to an audience of the innocentce of the deck and its’ condition than just a cut or two. This shuffle, also known as the Charlier Shuffle, fits the bill like a glove. Essentially, all it does is cut the deck but gives the appearance of a shuffle.
