Give yourself a break & let the spectator do all the work. They become the magician, you become the assistant. They volunteer thinks the magician made a mistake. The audience is in on it the whole time (or so they think in this amazing sucker effect.). The “magician” corrects the mistake you must have made and fires you from the show!
You give them a 3-page large print book. “You Can Be A Magician.” As they read it out loud. They learn their patter and actions (but are really responsible for this self-working card revelation). A card is selected by their spectator. The audience can see the whole deck is the same (but the magician and spectator do not). The card is revealed by “the magician” but it is the wrong card. The audience is confused how it can be wrong. ”The magician mysteriously corrects the mistake and reveals the correct selection, making them look like a star. Then fires their assistant (YOU!) and takes a bow,
While it is difficult to describe the effect in this short advert, it is a funny sucker and among the very best in audience participation.
