Super-Duper Balloon
Without a doubt, the closest thing to real magic yet devised in the magician’s craft! A large balloon is inflated (the spectator can do this) and held between the hands of the magician. Slowly, the hands are removed - the balloon floats in space, defying all the laws of gravity! There is positively nothing attached to the balloon! This illusion is just as practical and sensational in a church basement as on the biggest of stages. An effect in magic that fits right into our supersonic age. A demonstration of invisible energy.
While the balloon is floating the performer may walk away - he may even go so far as to sit among the spectators. You will thrill to the spookiness of the balloon floating high in space. Hand passes and gestures are made and the balloon floats away from you - then it floats towards you. To add a further mystery, you pass a solid hoop completely over the balloon from any direction. The hoop may be handed to a spectator for him to examine. Hold the hoop stationary in the air and the balloon will float through it! All during this routine the balloon floats gracefully in space, moving in different directions.
At any time, at your command, the balloon will float down to your hands. You can give the balloon as a souvenir or place it on Abbott’s “Dove in Balloon” tray and as the balloon bursts a live dove appears! The balloon may be placed in Abbott’s “Twin Doves in Balloon” apparatus for the production of two live doves! Use an Abbott “Card Sword” to break the balloon while at the same time a selected card or cards appear on the sword! This effect may be repeated with absolutely no preparation. This great magic was invented by the late John E. Peyton, an electronics engineer, and first marketed by Abbotts in 1958. It comes complete with balloons, hoop, instructions, gimmick, etc. Notice to customers outside the United Stated: This unit is electrical and must be converted (by you) for use with the power supply in your own country.
