VINTAGE Charlie McCarthy 30 inch Ventriloquist Dummy by Goldberger EEGEE

Charlie McCarthy is perhaps the most well known ventriloquist puppet ever to exist. Created and performed by Edgar Bergen. Edgar became famous in 1930, his puppet became more famous than him. Charlie and Edgar performed all the way up until 1979 with their last appearance in The Muppet Movie.

Goldberger Dolls manufactured Charlie McCarthy and other dolls from the 1960s-1990s. We are not sure when this doll was made. The top hat is missing and there are a couple of small stains in the shirt. Other than that, this figure is in great shape. The mouth opens and closes when you pull the string at the back of the neck. Both shoes, pants, jacket, shirt, bow tie & monocle are in place. Painted hair is not scratched off.
